Liverpool Hope University is a reputable educational institution in the beautiful seaport city of Liverpool in North West England. The foundation roots of this distinguished varsity can be traced back to 1884 when the institute was established. The institute of learning was formed by the coming together of church leader of different sects to lay an integrated ecumenical Christian foundation. The institute was one of the first centres of learning in England to welcome women students and students of plural sects.
The Privy Council granted the learning centre to use the title of a university in 2005 and thus, Liverpool Hope University became established as a renowned varsity. In 2009, the university gained rights to confer degrees for postgraduate research programmes. Liverpool Hope University offers undergraduate, postgraduate and several research programmes on its campus. The institute offers admission to students of UK and foreign nationalities.
UG courses at the university are offered with and without foundation. Notably, foundation UG courses are open for students who are unable to get direct admission in the first year undergraduate course. The additional foundation year helps them to bridge the gap and progress academically.
The scenic landscaped campus of this historic varsity has sub campuses for the main teaching, boarding and outdoor education. The main teaching campus ‘hope park’ is located in the leafy suburbs of Childwall with areas to study, live, work and relax.

Liverpool Hope University campus houses learning and recreational facilities like study halls, library, club, sports complex, shopping complexes within the premises. The daily course schedule is packed with all types of events, be it quizzes, music, dance, sports, bingo and lots more. There are different clubs for hikers, dancers, musicians, women and theatre artists.
The university has several centres for students’ welfare. These include a student support and well-being team, talent search teams, a placement unit, a student counselling unit and a students’ union. If students face any issues, including health, mental and financial issues, the well-being team is always within reach. The placement and career advisory cell of the varsity provides assistance to students to seek full- and part-time jobs. Also, job opportunities are regularly displayed on the internal job boards. The chaplaincy guides students who wish to avail counselling on bigger questions of life and help them find faith, hope and love.
