Voted the UK’s top modern university (QS World University Rankings 2021), Oxford Brookes University is a campus university located in the beautiful and historic city of Oxford. There are three campuses that are part of the university, linked by the BROOKESbus. The Students’ Union and the many societies on campus help to build the close-knit but diverse community Oxford Brookes is known for. Oxford Brookes was ranked in the top 50 universities in the UK (Complete University Guide 2021).

Oxford Brookes is a diverse and exciting place to study, with students from more than 140 countries making up 17 per cent of the student population. It provides an exciting student experience, with an internationally-focused atmosphere both academically and socially. With a huge range of events and societies, as well as an excellent student support system, students can make the most of their university experience.

Ranked 2nd in the UK for teaching (Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2020), Oxford Brookes is known for the standard of teaching that its faculty provides. 94 per cent of the research at Oxford Brookes is internationally recognised (Research Excellence Framework 2014), which means students are learning from leaders in their field.

Oxford Brookes has excellent graduate outcomes, with over 95 per cent of Oxford Brookes students in employment or further study within six months of graduating, and students have access to career support throughout their time at university to ensure they can achieve their career goals.

The quality of the academic teaching at Oxford Brookes has an outstanding reputation, with a total of 11 faculty members having been awarded National Teaching Fellows, the most prestigious award in UK higher education teaching. 

Students are taught by faculty members who are experts in their field and who are constantly undertaking new and important research in these areas. 94 per cent of the research at Brookes is internationally recognised (Research Excellence Framework 2014). Students are able to exchange ideas with teachers who work collaboratively to push their subject area forward. Students at the university benefit from new ideas being exchanged and developed between their own teachers and departments across the world. Oxford Brookes is well known for its international and global focus.

Students can live in university accommodation, a great place to meet people and settle into university life. Full-time first-year international students starting in September are guaranteed a place in university accommodation if they would like it and are able to meet the application deadlines. There are a range of halls in and around the three campuses, with on-site support at all of them. All halls are on a BROOKESbus route and students living in halls can purchase a discounted bus pass entitling them to free travel on these services.
