The University of Greenwich has an ambitious strategy to 2030 entitled This is Our Time. An important priority within the strategy is to establish an excellent online learning provision, establishing new innovative programmes along with supporting existing provision to develop further.

The Administrative Assistant (Greenwich Online) will provide key assistance across this new business function, working in a project support capacity to ensure we meet our ambitions. Performing varied administrative duties to support the growth of online, the post holder will join at an exciting time as we shape plans. We are recruiting a new team to lead this work, with this role one of the first positions advertised.

Using their experience of project support and administration the postholder will work proactively with members of Greenwich Online team. Tasks will include creating documentation, liaising with stakeholders, responding to queries, and assisting with internal business processes (eg supporting staff induction). A crucial central role for this new area, the Online Officer will be able to shape ways of working and internal processes to support the smooth running of Greenwich Online.

We're looking for candidates who have experience in a similar project-based role and have previously worked in a high functioning team. Excellent IT and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, you will have created documentation for a range of audiences and can collaborate effectively with others. Due to our ambitions for growth in this space, we are looking for candidates who have experience of working to deadlines and are able to prioritise competing tasks accordingly.
