THE ROLE

We seek a Diploma Qualified Educator for Waratah Cottage, an early learning centre operating at Macquarie University.

Reporting to the Room Leader, you will be an advocate for children, believe in quality early education and the value of relationships, and be willing to collaborate with the university community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the educational program, including developmental records • Interact respectfully and positively with children and families • Work positively, respectfully, and collaboratively with a large, diverse team • Maintain a current understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standards • Support and contribute to all diversity, equity, and inclusion activities • Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement • Undertake the Responsible Person and/or Room Leader roles as required • Follow approved policies and procedures to help keep children safe (child protection, supervision, health and wellbeing)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• ACECQA approved Diploma in early childhood education • Approved First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualification • Working with Children Check • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Australia • Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 years is desirable • You share our organisational values of Courage, Agility, Rigour, Empowerment and Support (CARES) and commit to these being visible in your actions and words.
