The Role: Engineering Contracts Manager

About you:

In order to succeed in this role, you will join us with

  • Demonstrable experience of managing maintenance contracts for multiple buildings.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and statutory compliance activities.

  • Experience in common forms of maintenance contract such as NEC and JCT, including commercial and performance management and reporting.

  • Experience in contract management principles such as Service Level Agreements and KPIs, change control, risk-reward mechanisms.

  • Working knowledge of legislation, regulation and compliance relating to health, safety, environment and operational risk within a maintenance context.

  • Awareness of CDM Regulations and safe working on site.
  • Experience of a broad range of asset types such as offices, laboratories, teaching and research facilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Able to work within an environment where ambiguity, change and changing priorities and evolving objectives are a constant.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management skills at all levels.
  • Ability to work within a team, plan and manage work activities, communicate and prioritise workloads.

  • Demonstrable analytical and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to identify and pro-actively manage risks, issues and problems effectively.

  • Monitor the work of Contractors and takes accountability for their level of performance and success.
