Job description

The front office of the TU/e International Office team helps students apply for a TU/e study program. We support students by guiding them through the admissions process and answering their questions on the many aspects of applying to and joining a TU/e study program.

Are you a good listener who can quickly filter essential information and get to the core of the question? Do you have the skills to assess and accurately process applications from International students? Is your level of English and Dutch at least B2 and are you interested in working in an International environment? Then you are who we are looking for as our new colleague at the International Office!

This position is part of the International Office of the Education and Student Affairs service (ESA), the central services for teaching staff and students at Eindhoven University of Technology.

The position

As part of the Front Office team of the International office, you are the first point of contact for students and colleagues with questions about the admissions process and all other aspects of joining the TU/e as an International student.

What will you do:

  • Communicating with students about the admissions procedure and requirements by email, telephone and our website, and face to face at our information desk and during Open Days;
  • Processing applications;
  • Joint responsibility (with front office colleagues) for continual improvement to the front office processes and communication;
  • Other activities associated with the Center for Student Administration (CSA).
  • Good to know: the front office workload is defined by a number of peak periods during the year. The larger peaks are in January, mid April to mid May and during the summer vacation period. Leave is restricted during these peaks.

    Job requirements

    We are looking for a colleague who:

  • Has proven intellectual and professional ability at a medium professional education level (MBO+);
  • Has proven knowledge and experience of MS office;
  • Has experience with automated administrative processes. Experience with OSIRIS is an advantage;
  • Hhas good communication skills, and excellent speaking and writing skills in both Dutch and English (English and Dutch at least at B2);
  • Is customer-focused and able to quickly capture the essence of a customer question;
  • Can easily switch between working independently and teamwork in an international setting;
  • Has experience in the field of Internationalization in higher education or business setting;
  • Is experienced in (or has affinity for) working with different cultures;
  • Can cope well with peak periods and strict deadlines;
  • Has affinity or experience with student life.
  • Conditions of employment

    An exciting position within an international yet personal university. You are right in the middle of the students, on a green campus within walking distance of the central station.   • A part-time job (0.8 FTE);
  • The equivalent of a gross monthly salary for a full-time position, depending on education and experience, ranging from € € 2.715 to € 3.420 (scale 6 in the Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) for Dutch Universities);
  • You will be appointed for 1 year with the intention of fixed-term employment after this period. You may be employed through EuFlex, TU/e's secondment organization;
