  • About the Role

    This position will make a substantial contribution to the Unit's teaching and leadership activities by undertaking high quality teaching. The position will be actively involved in the delivery of high-quality teaching and will also engage in academic administration and professional activities.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Implement teaching and learning activities that may include lectures, tutorials, practicals, project work and related assessment activities and provide timely feedback to students
  • Adopt appropriate teaching approaches (including face-to-face, online and blended learning) to promote student learning
  • Contribute to the design and development of engaging course curricula and materials, and ensure that teaching is informed by relevant research in the field
  • Undertake teaching as part of the teaching team, including co-ordinating moderation of marking exercises
  • Act as a student advisor by providing academic counselling, mentoring and advice to students
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • A doctoral qualification in Project Management, or a post graduate degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional/industry experience which may include registration with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM)
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake teaching duties including the design and preparation of teaching activities and resources in Project Management in the context of STEM-related disciplines, including but not limited to: Environment, Energy, Sustainability, Construction, Contracting, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Defence
  • High level written and oral communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with team members, external parties and colleagues
  • Demonstrated competence in using the necessary digital techniques required for effective curriculum delivery
  • Understanding and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies
