The School of Allied Health has an opening for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position for an individual with expertise in the field of occupational therapy. Please note that this is one position, and the suitable candidate will be considered for either the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer role (in either a Teaching Academic or Teaching & Research role) based on their experience, skills, and qualifications.

Note: Each role – Teaching Academic or Teaching & Research Academic – has a separate position description for the two levels you can apply for i.e., Lecturer (ALB) or Senior Lecturer (ALC).

Selection Criteria

  • A doctoral qualification in relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for a Teaching Academic role).
  • Demonstrated high level teaching skills and a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching delivery.
  • A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
  • A record of contribution to scholarship in teaching, or an established record of research outputs/creative works in high quality refereed academic journals/outlets consistent with the discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience or capacity to undertake unit coordination.
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the application of relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
