    Are you ready to take your digital media skills to the next level? As a Performance Media Officer, you will be at the heart of our high-energy team, driving impactful and efficient paid media campaigns that deliver results!

    You will collaborate with an incredible team across Marketing and Communications, and partner with faculty marketing managers and key stakeholders to ensure our campaigns are not only successful but ground breaking! Get hands-on, be creative, and make a real impact in a role where your contributions are valued.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Performance Media Manager and Specialist with day-to-day and ad-hoc performance media requests.

  • Assist with the performance media planning, implementation, optimisation and reporting of marketing campaigns.

  • Act as a first point of contact for ad hoc internal UQ requests, via our planning and performance team.

  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders across UQ on use of performance media channels, including training, best practices, and ongoing support.

  • Support the management of the always on search budget and paid search accounts, provide recommendations and insights to optimise campaigns, ensure budget pacing is correct, maintain tracking accuracy, and reports are of a high standard.

  • Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis.

  • Assist with routine checks and audits across advertising accounts to identify and fix issues quickly and support with weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance media reports.

  • Any other responsibilities in line with the level of the role as directed by the Performance Media Manager or the Senior Marketing Manager.

  • About You

    Essential

  • Undergraduate qualifications in Marketing or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education/training

  • 2 years' experience in digital advertising at an agency or in-house team or relevant equivalent/transferrable experience.

  • Expertise in Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager and TikTok Ads Manager and the proven ability to rapidly learn and use other adtech platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing cross channel performance media campaigns and to analyse post campaign results.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.

  • Experience using digital analytics tools (Power BI, Google Looker Studio and GA4).

  • Skilled communicator and able to operate autonomously and with multiple stakeholders.

  • Solid knowledge of all digital marketing channels, tactics and their roles, especially lead generation strategies.

  • Ability to balance multiple campaigns at the same time.

  • Desirable ​

  • Google Tag Manager expertise.

  • Knowledge of the higher education industry.

  • Experience working as part of a tertiary marketing team responsible for recruiting domestic and international students.

  • Experience using Wrike.
