About the role

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Organic Semiconductors to work under the supervision of Professor Iain McCulloch for a period of up to 24 months. The successful candidate will join an inter- disciplinary team working on the design and synthesis of novel organic semiconducting polymers and small molecules for applications such as organic bio-electronics, photocatalysis and solar cells. This encompasses the materials science aspects of thin film fabrication and measurement of their performance. The aim is to investigate relationships between the chemical structure and properties of the materials and establish design strategies tailored for each application.
