Research Assistant I/II in the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 528905) (to commence as soon as possible for one year on temporary term, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join our team and support studies related to the human microbiome and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Science, Biology, Medical Sciences, or related disciplines, with a good command of written and spoken English, a strong sense of responsibility, and attention to detail.
  • Additional Skills and Experience (Advantageous)

  • Experience in laboratory work, including bacteria culture, phage isolation, and flow cytometry.
  • Coding skills and experience in bioinformatics analysis are also highly valued.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • The appointee will handle biological samples, provide technical support in the laboratory and maintain inventory records.
  • He/She will also perform day-to-day administrative duties and other tasks as assigned to support the research team.
