This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and motivated administrator with an interest in research to support our Research Centres in the Faculty of Engineering & Design.

About the role

This is a varied and dynamic role in a small, highly-motivated team. You will work closely with the Research Centre leadership teams, other Faculty-based colleagues and Central University Services. You will provide administrative support for the Faculty's Centre Directors and Deputies, coordinate events and support meetings.

This post is offered on a part-time time basis of 0.8 FTE (29.2 hours per week).

We are currently operating a hybrid work model, which is a combination of both campus and home working. This post would have a minimum of 2 days on campus per week.

have strong organisational skills and can prioritise conflicting demands effectively while maintaining attention to detail,

have excellence communications skills and the ability to build links with colleagues at all levels,

work proactively both independently and as part of an agile team,

have strong IT skills, particularly in Office 365 and confidence to learn new systems quickly,

demonstrate a good use of initiative and creativity in a rapidly changing environment.
