At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas. The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical neuroscience, Health and rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology as well as Psychiatry and neurochemistry.

The Department of Neuroscience and Physiology is currently seeking a researcher in pharmacology, specifically within the pharmacology of the autonomic nervous system, with placement at the Department of Pharmacology. The position involves research within the subject area, but teaching and some administrative duties may also be included.

Duties

The duties include research in neuropharmacology, with a particular focus on the pharmacology and diseases of the autonomic nervous system. The responsibilities also include teaching pharmacology. Supervision of postgraduate students may also be involved.

Qualifications

To be eligible for employment as a researcher, the candidate must hold a doctoral degree in a subject area relevant to the duties. The work requires high competence and extensive experience in the relevant field, as well as in pharmacology as a whole. Extensive teaching experience is a requirement. Administrative experience is considered an advantage for the position. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment

The employment is a permanent position, 10% of full-time, and is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date: as soon as possible or as agreed. Probationary employment may be applied.
