About the Position

Bond Business School is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to teach on a casual basis into our Undergraduate and Postgraduate Commerce and Business programs, particularly in the field of finance. While the immediate need is to appoint candidates with teaching experience in finance, expressions of interest from applicants who have taught in other business disciplines are also welcome. Applications from candidates who meet the selection criteria will be retained on the Business School’s Casual Staff Register.

The position/s will be offered as Casual Academic appointments. Casual Academics are teaching focussed positions which involve all aspects of subject delivery including preparing high quality subject and learning support materials; conducting face to face teaching; being available for consultation with students; designing and marking assessments; finalising grades; and undertaking administrative duties related to teaching.

These roles are available on an ‘as-needed’ basis to meet the teaching needs of the Bond Business School.

About the person

These casual opportunities are ideal for candidates who are passionate about teaching in finance and/or business. We are looking for individuals with:

  • A master’s degree or PhD in a relevant finance or business discipline.
  • A proven track record of teaching excellence in finance and/or other disciplines in business, having previously taught at the tertiary level.
  • Availability to teach on campus at the University’s Gold Coast campus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Salary details

Applicants will be remunerated in accordance with the Bond University Casual Academic pay scales. Please note, that hours for these roles are casual in nature and may vary depending on the operational requirements of the faculty.
