  • Role Description

    COTEC is an outstation of Cranfield Defence and Security located on Salisbury Plain south of Devizes. The site is leased from the MOD and all range operations are carried out under the authority of Defence Training Estates Salisbury Plain DTE (SP).

    About the Role

    The primary purpose of this role is to plan and execute the deployment of instrumentation on explosive and ballistic trials and to accurately record, process and present the resulting data. You will carry out instrumentation duties on the range, demonstrating the ability to operate, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of specialist instrumentation equipment. You will be the first point of call for data collection and analysis issues, instrumentation errors or equipment faults. You will provide advice and practical assistance to the Trials Conducting Officer and co-ordinate and assist with health and safety compliance across the site.

    About You

    You will have an HND or Degree qualification in a relevant subject, or studying for the same. You will have recognised and substanial technical expertise in data capture, with a developed understanding through qualifications or experience of scientific/technical theory. You will have excellent technical problem-solving, supervisory, planning and organising skills.
