Part time: 13.5 hours per week

As a Podiatrist you will deliver high quality on-going care of patients across 13.5 hours (2 days per week) within the University of Northampton Podiatry Clinic. This will include:

Assessing and diagnosing foot and lower limb conditions in patients of all age groups

Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on clinical assessments

Providing podiatric care, including wound care, biomechanical assessments, orthotic prescription, and nail surgeries

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Contributing to patient education programs and promoting preventive foot care practices

Participating in professional development opportunities and training programs to enhance clinical skills

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

Adhering to all relevant healthcare policies, procedures, and standards

About you

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist who is highly motivated to support patient needs but also the ongoing reputation, social impact and achievements of the University of Northampton.

Previous experience in a clinical or internship setting is desirable but not essential

Passion for podiatry and a desire to learn and develop as a professional

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and colleagues

Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care and ethical practice

Ability to work well within a team and independently when required

A proactive and positive attitude towards continuous learning and professional growth

Up to date knowledge of new techniques and developments for the promotion and maintenance of good practice in specialist field

Provide advice to non-specialists and other specialists/ professionals within clinical field

Manage and prioritise own caseload independently

Experience of undertaking podiatric treatments requiring a high degree of manual dexterity, and hand/eye co-ordination and fine motor skills, e.g. nail surgery/debridement

Qualifications

Essential;

BSc(Hons) Podiatry/ Podiatric Medicine

Professional registration with the HCPC and a commitment to maintaining this through continuous professional development

Registration with the Royal College of Podiatrists

Desirable;

A level 7 qualification in a related field (or working towards one)
