Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Embryologist Trainee) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 528887) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline, preferably with experience in handling embryos and sperm. Registered as medical laboratory technologist (MLT) would be an advantage.

The appointee will work in the IVF laboratory managed by HKU in the Assisted Reproduction Unit at the University's teaching hospital; carry out routine embryologist's duties to provide ART services; and conduct clinical research. Working on weekends/public holidays will be required and on-the-job training will be provided.
