Job description

OPEN TO CURRENT ABERTAY STUDENTS ONLY

Unibuddy Student Ambassador

£12 per hour

Hours by Mutual Agreement

Choosing a university can be a daunting task, as it involves selecting both a home and an academic environment. Factors such as the location, campus atmosphere, and the community of people are crucial considerations. As a Unibuddy Student Ambassador, your role is to assist prospective students globally in making a decision that aligns with their preferences. On the Unibuddy platform, you'll represent the University and your specific course, engaging in conversations with potential students and applicants. Your responsibility is to provide candid and sincere responses to their enquiries regarding your course, student life, or the city of Dundee.

Based within the Marketing department at Abertay, your role as a Unibuddy Ambassador involves answering queries and highlighting our unique qualities, setting us apart from other institutions and reinforcing our image as a warm and supportive community.

Your primary responsibility is to provide genuine, firsthand insights into life at Abertay University, offering potential students an authentic perspective. To fulfil this role effectively, you will need to download and use the Unibuddy App, akin to a WhatsApp-style platform. Quick and responsive communication is key, and you'll be expected to promptly respond to messages from interested students. Additionally, you'll attend occasional training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

During quieter periods, you'll have the opportunity to create engaging digital content such as blogs and vlogs, adding depth to the information available to prospective students.

A full candidate brief can be found above which details the job description, person specification and application details.

If you believe you have the skills and experience for this exciting and challenging role, please submit your application by clicking apply online below.
