Job Reference: 1258656 Are you passionate about enhancing digital experiences for students? Curtin University is looking for a talented UX Analyst to join our Student Experience team.

Your new role In this role, you'll help improve how we serve our students through our digital channels, including our student portal and various web and mobile applications.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with Developers : Work closely with our in-house development team throughout all phases of the application development cycle to ensure continuous improvement and engagement.
  • Drive Excellence : Provide expert advice on best practices for User Experience and the development of digital services across the University.
  • Optimise Processes: Engage with cross-functional teams to streamline business processes and digital services, defining, achieving, and measuring desired outcomes.
  • Create Actionable Insights: Translate business needs into clear and effective user stories, guiding the development pipeline.
  • Innovate Solutions : Apply creative problem-solving and critical thinking to ensure our digital solutions provide maximum value and are highly valued by users.
  • Gather User Insights : Use qualitative and quantitative methods, such as surveys, focus groups, and guerrilla testing, to gather valuable user insights.
  • Produce UX Artefacts : Develop high-quality UX deliverables, including user journeys, wireframes, concept sketches, and prototypes.
  • Support Data-Driven Decisions: Analyse data to uncover opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Lead and facilitate engaging workshops, including brainstorming, ideation, and service design sessions, to drive collaborative problem-solving and innovative solutions.
  • What We're Looking For:

  • Relevant Background : A degree or substantial experience in digital user experience, application development, or customer service support.
  • Prioritisation Skills: Ability to autonomously manage and prioritise responsibilities in a cross-functional role.
  • Communication Expertise: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to convey complex concepts clearly.
  • Relationship Building : Proven ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, managing complex and sensitive issues with diplomacy.
  • Analytical Thinking : Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address and resolve strategic problems.
  • Agile and Lean Development : Knowledge of agile project management principles and experience with lean development methodologies.
  • Design Thinking: Understanding of Design Thinking methodology for problem definition and requirements gathering.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance : Experience in or knowledge of digital application testing and quality assurance.
  • Content Development : Experience or knowledge in information design and content development for digital platforms.
  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
