Administrative Assistant II / Executive Officer (2 posts) in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 530545) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should hold a good university degree or above, with at least 8 years of experience at supervisory level in event management, marketing, communications or public relations within a public or quasi-public organisation. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); proficiency in handling correspondence with complete independence; exceptional interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving abilities; good IT skills; and the ability to multi-task and work independently under immense pressure. They should be self-motivated, attentive to details, and a good team player. Applicants who have a proven track record in areas of event management, digital communications, and/or cross-functional team management are of advantage. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer.
The appointees will be responsible for the Department's large-scale events; social media platforms; engagement of public, departmental and alumni communications; clinical services administration and committee work. They should also play a versatile role in leading junior executive and clerical staff in supporting a full range of operational tasks, and perform other duties as assigned. They may be required to work outside normal office hours. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and a written test.
