A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) invites applications for an exempt Rural Track Project Manager for the PA Program on the Mesa, Arizona campus.

The grant-funded Rural Track Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Clinical Education, Physician Assistant Studies Program and will be responsible for working directly with the grant project team to ensure the timely and compliant management and implementation of the HRSA-funded Primary Care Training and Enhancement: Physician Assistant Rural Training Program. They will oversee and manage all aspects of the funded project for programmatic and fiscal compliance, and will collaborate with the project to achieve the project's stated objectives, methodology, data collection/analysis, evaluation, and outcomes dissemination--including reporting and publishing.

The responsibilities of the Rural Track Project Manager will include, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • Recruitment of rural primary care supervised clinical practice experience (SCPE) sites in conjunction with HRSA grant requirements, ARC-PA standards, and program requirements.
  • Assist with student scheduling and preceptor credentialing.
  • Onboard sites and preceptors through communication of program expectations and dissemination of educational materials and resources.
  • Manage/monitor site subaward agreements and consulting agreements.
  • Support student rural training activities by coordinating and assisting students in identifying rural site housing, create and maintain a rural Arizona primary care clinical track student resource page, and other supports as identified.
  • Track and report all project data, outcomes, etc., being accountable to the PD/PI, ATSU SP, and ultimately the external sponsor of the grant.
  • Manage the implementation, compliance, and reporting requirements of the project.
  • Develop and maintain strong relations between rotation sites/preceptors, ATSU-PA, and students.
  • Manage/perform other duties required of an ASHS-PA Program professional.
  • Participate in and assist with departmental events and functions including but not limited to: admissions, graduation, white coat ceremony, and awards banquets.
  • Participate in Arizona School of Health Sciences Staff Assembly.
  • Other duties as assigned by DPAS Clinical Director and Program Director.
  • The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and accomplishments:

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, or the equivalent combination of education/experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired.
  • This position requires excellent logistics management to support students, staff, preceptors, and partner site with the project goals.
  • Strong interpersonal communications; excellent written and oral communication skills; effective time management and organizational skills; advanced proofing and editing skills; strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; and general budgeting skills are necessary. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines is key.
  • This position is grant-funded, with HRSA support anticipated through July 31, 2027.
