Specific Purpose Whole-Time

(anticipated duration of 2 years)

UCC wishes to appoint an experienced academic to the role of Lecturer in Economics. Reporting to the Head of Department, the Bank of Ireland Lecturer in Economics will have a track record of research as evidenced through publications in refereed journals of substantial international standing (publications in the 3 and 4 star ranked journals by the Chartered Association of Business Schools will be preferred), and whose research will be aligned with the United Nations SDGs. Candidates with teaching and research experience in any area of economics are encouraged to apply, for example, applied microeconomics, quantitative economics, economic growth, etc.

Candidates will also demonstrate their experience in delivering high quality teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education levels in the discipline of Economics and which is aligned with our vision of creating more responsible business leaders that design and deliver more sustainable organisations and work for the longer-term benefit of society, business and individuals.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: Below the Bar €40,685 - €70,328 (Scale B) / €42,732 - €66,921 (Scale A)

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
