    About This Opportunity

    We are eagerly seeking a Casual Clinical Technician Assistant to support the students and teaching staff within the clinical component of programs offered by the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with preparation, restocking, setup and pack up of clinical skills sessions for students.

  • Assist with stocktake of asset equipment and consumables.

  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned correctly as directed.

  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and reporting of defects to equipment used within the Clinical Simulation space.

  • Relocate equipment to and from different areas.

  • This is a casual position at HEW level 3, with an hourly rate in the range of $42.09 to $46.33, plus superannuation of 11.5%. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the Enterprise Agreement.

    About You

  • Demonstrated computing skills, i.e., Microsoft Office suite.

  • Flexibility to work on specific weekdays, determined by timetable requirements.

  • Ability to rapidly gain knowledge of nursing and midwifery equipment and medical supplies.

  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise own workload, follow direction, work independently and well in a team to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience working in a healthcare or education setting is desirable.

  • In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:

  • Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

  • Mandatory Immunisations: It is a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.
