About the Role Operated as a joint venture between Swinburne University of Technology and UP Education since 2020, Swinburne College offers pathway and English language courses on Swinburne's Hawthorn campus in Melbourne.
The College Director plays a key leadership role in shaping and driving the strategy and priorities of Swinburne College, working closely with the Swinburne College Board of Directors. As the senior leader, the College Director is accountable for the overall management and performance of the College, ensuring alignment with the Board's vision and goals.
The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the College, including managing key metrics such as student enrolments, revenue, EBITDA, student success rates, and progression to Swinburne University of Technology. The College Director also leads the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that support the achievement of these objectives.
A core aspect of the role is building and leading a high-performing workforce that fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The College Director will ensure that staff are supported and empowered to deliver on the College's strategic goals, while maintaining a strong focus on student experience and success.
As the leader of a passionate team of educators, the College Director will ensure that Swinburne's pathway programs delivered in Melbourne by Swinburne College meet regulatory and policy requirements, with a particular emphasis on achieving quality student outcomes. The role requires close collaboration with teams across Swinburne and UP Education, working together to meet quality, compliance, and commercial objectives.
The College Director is responsible for the effective implementation of the Services Agreement between Swinburne College, Swinburne University of Technology, and UP Education. While reporting directly to the Swinburne College Board, the College Director will work closely with Swinburne's Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) and UP's CEO, University Partnerships & Australia, to ensure the success of the College and its students.
