School of Science, Engineering & Technology (SSET)

YOUR ROLE
In conjunction with the Dean of School, School Manager, Program Managers and SSET Events team, the Digital Communication & Multimedia Design Coordinator will plan, implement and manage the public-facing profile of SSET through the use of social media, web and other platforms. A significant part of this role will be to create and edit rich-media content in Vietnamese and/or in English, for use across a range of platforms. This position will help ensure maximum visibility of SSET services and events across the university. Additionally, the coordinator will work closely with the Marketing department to ensure all content aligns with the RMIT Brand Identity and collaborate with the Communications department to effectively showcase SSET's communication strategies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Digital Communication:
Plan, implement and manage a strong presence for School of Science, Engineering & Technology on digital communication channels.
Update and manage media-rich micro-sites about SSET websites, programs, student work, alumni, events and other relevant.
Create and curate engaging content aligned with key content pillars to focus groups which include parents, students, industry, alumni, media, etc. to publish on various digital channels that would highlight the School's brand.
Manage the distribution of content through the university's established online channels and traditional platforms
Analyse the effectiveness of communication campaigns on digital channels to optimize the SSET's presence on these channels.
Research, understand and respond to industry trends, audience segments and their behaviour and motivations
Liaise with Program Managers and the SSET Event Team and other internal and external stakeholders in order to promote activities, events and news concerning the School, student, alumni and industry partners.
Organise and manage a media content database
Multimedia Design :
Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
Source, develop and design a diverse range of content including text and visuals to be used across internal and external online and traditional communication channels and ensure the style and clarity is consistent with the RMIT brand.
Create templates that support the correct application of brand elements across all communications and promotional campaigns.
Plan and oversee the media production to serve the communication activities, which includes photography, story board and video script development, filming & video editing.
Manage the production of printed collaterals and/or design projects to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. Make regular report on production progress to the Senior Coordinator, Events and Communication.
Perform general quality assurance for visual impact and contents of the projects.
Manage key images to ensure brand attributes are communicated effectively within the constraints of the RMIT Brand.
Collaborate with the Marketing team, Comms team and other stakeholders to produce design solutions to communicate client messages with high visual impact for print/web/design projects.
Carry out or support other duties as directed by the Senior Coordinator, External Engagement & Events.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Bachelor degree in Design, Communications or Digital Marketing
2. At least 2-3 years' experience coordinating the production and design of a range of marketing materials.
3. Demonstrated experience in implementing print design, video clip production, web design and other online marketing materials.
4. Substantial experience leading the implementation of cutting-edge integrated marketing communications and creative web and graphic design consistent with re-branding and corporate guidelines with major software programs for Macintosh computers (MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite incorporating Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Adobe Premiere and Acrobat).
5. Extensive knowledge in graphic and web design with strong abilities to develop successful campaign concepts that represent RMIT brand values and creative outlook.
6. Experience with audio-visual equipment used to capture content for use on online platforms
7. Proficient in English and Vietnamese, good copy-writing skills
8. Independent learning and working attitude in handling print projects and assisting in web and publication execution.
9. Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position, as per the RMIT Behavioural Capability Framework (Connectedness, Commitment to Excellence –Improve and Simplify; Imagination and Innovation; Impact; Inclusion; Agility).
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (General) with a score of at least 6.5 or equivalent, as outlined in the RMIT Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Guidelines.
