Aston University is working to an ambitious 2030 strategy, with an engaged community of alumni and philanthropic supporters helping us achieve our aims. The alumni database is the foundation of fundraising and alumni activity, facilitating the work of the University's Community, Alumni Relations and Development (CARD) team. The Database Officer is responsible for maintaining the breadth, integrity, and reporting capacity of the alumni database, ensuring it is an accurate, comprehensive, and effective tool for CARD. The role holder will ensure that the data is high quality to enable the fulfilment of stretching fundraising targets.

The role holder will support the development, and management of all aspects of the alumni database to ensure that it is fit for purpose and will assume day to day responsibility for audits, cleaning, housekeeping and resolution of data anomalies.

They will be required to advise and implement best practice in the gathering, storage, and retrieval of information, maintain and update records and support the production of a suite of regular reports on all areas of alumni and fundraising activity. They will also support the activities of CARD which includes but is not limited to the running of the Alumni Club at John Cadbury House.
