  • About the position

    The Deputy Director, Student Engagement and Inclusion reports to the Pro Vice- Chancellor , Student Experience and Employability and is responsible for leading the management and implementation of the University's strategic initiatives to strengthen student engagement and experience outcomes and support inclusion and equity for students and staff. As a senior leader, the Deputy Director plays a critical role in leading teams accountable for institutional student engagement programs that improve student engagement and inclusion and prevention outcomes.

    Skills and Experience

    To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • A proven track record leading and developing strategic student responses within the higher education sector that strengthen the student experience and improve engagement outcomes.
  • Highly developed leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams to deliver outcomes utilising best practice approaches for effective student engagement programs and services.
  • Ability to demonstrate drive and integrity through a strong commitment to actions and taking responsibility to role model the professional behaviours important to the University.
  • Ability to support shared purpose, be accountable, think strategically, and harness information and opportunities to reinforce the vision for the future of the University.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting relevant University obligations with respect to compliance, policy, safety, and legislative requirements.
  • Highly developed key stakeholder management skills and experience, with the ability to provide strategic advice to University leaders on matters relating to student engagement outcomes and an improved student experience for all students.
