The University of Oxford is seeking a proactive and experienced Deputy
Senior Facilities Manager to lead and develop the Facilities Management
(FM) team for the new Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. This
incredible landmark building, set to open in summer 2025, will bring together
Oxford Humanities, offering world-class academic, library, performance, and

As Deputy Senior Facilities Manager , you'll play a pivotal role in
establishing best practice FM services and ensuring the Centre operates
seamlessly. You'll lead a dynamic team, work closely with stakeholders, and
drive the transition of services in preparation for the Centre's opening.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead, motivate, and manage the FM team, ensuring high service delivery
standards.
Develop and implement FM processes, ensuring compliance with safety and
operational standards.
Oversee the Centre's FM budget, monitor expenditure, and ensure value for
money.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and be the first point of
contact for emergencies and operational issues.
Champion health and safety, best practice, and continuous improvement
within the FM team.

Broad experience in Facilities Management , with a strong
understanding of building operations.
Proven skills in health and safety compliance , ensuring operational
and regulatory standards are met.
Proven leadership skills , with the ability to build, manage and
inspire a high-performing Team.
Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritisation and organisational
abilities to thrive in a high-paced,
Experience in change management
A customer-focused approach and the ability to build effective
relationships with a range of stakeholders.
A track record of working with new and innovative facilities
Experience in managing the operational demands of a large, public-
focused and multi-use building.
Experience in budget management
