Digital Content Manager

University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford, OX1 2JD

Are you an experienced content creator, confident self-shooter and visual communicator who believes in the benefits of a great education and making that accessible to anyone with academic talent? Do you want to make films to inspire the next generation of students? Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach (UAO) is looking for someone who has several years of experience in creating, editing and producing imaginative and targeted film content and who enjoys using their skills to create and position visual materials and campaign assets across a range of digital channels. Responsible for developing and implementing creative briefs, you will need to attract potential Oxford applicants and in particular inspire those from currently underrepresented groups who may not know anyone who has been to university and who may not believe our university would be a good fit for them.

In addition to good production skills, this influential role requires a strong communicator who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively to develop and deliver the department's visual content strategy; an empathetic and confident individual who is capable of eliciting strong performances from a variety of film subjects and working with a wide range of colleagues, within UAO and across the wider collegiate University. Strong project management skills as well as a good knowledge of GDPR and content accessibility requirements are also essential. This full-time and permanent post will be situated within UAO's innovative Information, Marketing and Communications team and line manage one of the Communications Officers.

Our communications and online content need to evolve constantly and reflect our fast-moving digital world and you will be encouraged to continue proactively to develop your skills and to take advantage of the many opportunities for training and career development available to Oxford University staff.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Monday 28 October 2024.

Interviews are planned to be held in-person in Oxford and for Wednesday 6 November.
