Digital Transformation

Permanent, Full time (36.5 hours per week)

This role will be based on our Streatham Campus.

The Digital Hub is a place where you can get support to use all the digital tools we have available to us at The University of Exeter. It is an essential Digital touch point that helps support our users in experimentation, adoption, and use of the technologies our wider Digital team develop and distribute.

What you'll be doing…

This role will work very closely with our Product Team to:

  • Deliver Outstanding User Experiences : Provide tailored, impactful support to students and staff at the Streatham Digital Hub, helping them navigate and solve their technology challenges with ease.
  • Coordinate the Digital Hub Team : Ensure the Digital Hub is always well-staffed and that team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional service.
  • Gather Valuable Insights : Collect and analyse information from the Digital Hub to uncover trends and pain points, enabling us to continuously improve the tools and services we offer.
  • Our Digital Product Chapter…

    The Digital Product chapter enables the University to achieve the right outcomes targeted at improving the user experience and increasing revenue through:

  • Product expertise: Taking ownership of our digital experiences, using data to inform priorities and championing great user experience
  • People expertise: Demonstrating collaboration and leadership at all levels of the organisation by understanding the needs of stakeholders and users, translating these into clear deliverables and defining a vision and roadmap to guide the direction of the product
  • Process expertise: Applying agile methodologies and practices to effectively plan and deliver strategic initiatives, as well as manage change demand for their product to continuously deliver incremental value
  • We're really looking for…

  • Experience of demonstrating how to use software in an educational environment.
  • A good understanding of communications and engagement with a range of audiences both face to face and online
  • Ability to provide basic visual representations of data.
  • Evidence of working within a customer-facing environment
  • Confidence in planning and conducting user-facing activities.
  • Strong knowledge of using a range of digital tools and interfaces. Eg. Microsoft Office products including Office 365 and Microsoft Teams, SharePoint use and page development, Bookings and Forms and quickly able to learn how to use new systems and interfaces.
  • Experience with University learning software would be beneficial.
  • Someone with experience of managing a small workforce rota
