Full time (36.5 hours per week)
Flexible hybrid working – This is a hybrid role that offers flexible working between home and our Campus's.
What you'll be doing…
As a Solutions Architect, you will be pivotal in designing solutions to support the University's modernisation and digital transformation programmes. Building upon the vision, the Solutions Architect will be responsible for defining the baseline (as-is) and target (to-be) business, information and technology architectures. Demonstrating leadership and governance, you will be responsible for designing and developing artefacts that will align with the University's strategies, principles, and standards.
The role will involve you working collaboratively with all areas of the University to understand business processes, applications, and data. As a Solutions Architect, you will bridge the gap between technical and non- technical to translate technical concepts, so they are understood by all. The role will work closely with Delivery and Service Management teams to support the development, testing, and deployment of infrastructure, hybrid, and cloud solutions, ensuring they are implemented according to design.
The role will report to the Head of Architecture and will work with other Solution and Technical Architects, each bringing unique skills and perspectives to the team. As a valued member of the architecture team, you'll participate in design sessions, contribute to architectural reviews, and engage in knowledge-sharing activities to enhance the architectural practices, principles, and standards.
