About the Role The Director, Teaching and Learning will work closely with the Head of School and Course Coordinators to implement the MSPGH Strategic plan for education and health workforce capacity building in Australia and the Indo- Pacific, to further strengthen the standing and impact of the School as the leading school of public health in Australia and the region. This position contributes at a senior level inside the Univeristy and in the community to foster deep engagement within the public health governance, policy, practice, and advocacy spaces.
The Director, Teaching and Learning provides expertise and leadership in several priority areas of the MSPGH Education strategic plan, including course diversification, enrolment growth, student experience, oversight of educational partnerships within the Indo-Pacific region and beyond. It will also contribute to policy development and a strategic initiatives in education and student experience within the Faculty of Medicine Dentistry and Health Sciences and in the University more widely. The role includes responsibility for budgeting, staffing and course quality assurance and is a member of the MSPGH Executive.

Your proven track record of leading strategies and partnerships that create social, cultural, and economic value will put you in good stead for success. Strong engagement skills and well-established relationships with government agencies, public sector organisations, and NGOs, both locally and internationally, in the field of public health and the broader health sector are essential.
You are able to demonstrate initiative, and innovation, and inspire others in the pursuit of excellence as well as having the capacity to make influential contributions to national and international public health communities, and also government, business, professional, or community organisations and partners, to enhance excellence in teaching and learning.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
