Executive Officer (holding the functional title of Programme Manager) in the Academic Liaison Office of the Registry (Ref: 531002) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal).
The Academic Liaison Office, which includes International Affairs Office, Mainland Affairs Office and HKU Summer Institute, is dedicated to promoting academic exchanges and fostering collaboration with Mainland and overseas institutions.
Applicants should have a good Bachelor's degree, preferably with at least 2 years' work experience in tertiary institutions. They should also have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, and fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage. They should have the ability to work independently with initiative as well as an outgoing personality. They should also have good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to lead projects and work under pressure.
The appointee will be responsible for fostering and maintaining partnerships, liaising with departments within the University and external stakeholders, providing general administrative support to the office and events, arranging visits for delegations, and performing any other duties as assigned by the Office Head. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
