Reporting to the Business Manager, Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, this is a part-time position (0.8FTE), fixed-term position until October 2025, for parental leave backfill. You will be an integral part of the Executive and Business Services (EBS) Team, working closely alongside the Executive Assistant, provide support to the Executive Office, Business Manager, Faculty Business Director, and other senior staff. In this position you will work across a broad range of areas including coordinating records, providing secretariat functions to committees and high-level meetings, preparing correspondence, and supporting the Executive Dean, Deputy Dean and Faculty Business Director with management of stakeholders, events, reporting, and communications.

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine welcomes applications from candidates with previous experience in a service-oriented or Executive Assistant position, who work effectively as part of a team with a customer-first focus while contributing to team outcomes.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives on working autonomously and can manage multiple priorities whilst being part of a collaborative team in a busy and growing environment. Furthermore, will be interested continuous improvement, cross-training, and potentially progressing your career within the faculty.
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working independently, managing multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail, and meeting competing deadlines while being part of a collaborative team.
- Is willing and able to provide and receive cross-training, to assist and/or take over the duties of team colleagues, and to learn and/or create and implement effective processes and systems.
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for communicating with a range of people.
- Can operate computer systems and software packages such Microsoft Office/Suite to a high standard.
- Has strong organisational and planning skills, including the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility without compromising standards of service and quality.
- Has well-developed problem-solving skills while maintaining continuous improvement values and will work harmoniously with others whilst contributing to team outcomes.
Salary details
The salary for this part time {0.8 FTE} position commences at $55,874.54 per annum (Full-time Equivalent is ($69,843.17 per annum), plus 12% superannuation per annum.
