We are seeking a Faculty Support Administrator to provide excellent, effective and efficient administration to one of the Schools and Departments within the Faculty of Engineering, Computing, and the Environment. You will be providing diary management to the Head of School of Computer Science and Mathematics and provide administrative support to academic and senior leadership team. Previous experience of diary management is essential as well as good working knowledge of administrative procedures.

You will provide electronic diary management for the Head of School, deal with associated arrangements, setting up, scheduling and prioritising appointments, meetings, and visits accordingly. You will also provide highly effective customer support to staff in the faculty, whilst coordinating a variety of functions and be able to work flexibly as part of the operations support team.

A key member of the Faculty Office you will contribute to the overall smooth running of the faculty by providing exceptional administrative support. The role will provide a highly efficient and effective administrative and support service to the faculty leadership team, Heads of School, and covering for absent team members when required.

We are looking for a professional, friendly, self-motivated, and excellent team player. You will be working in an inclusive environment alongside a small but friendly team that supports one another through the day to day running of the faculty office.

You will have excellent communications skills, attention to detail, and a confident and proactive approach to your work. The ability to build good working relationships across the faculty and university is essential, and listening effectively and responding sensitively to others is important.

Please note this is an office-based role and not hybrid, and you will be based across two campuses, Penrhyn Road and Roehampton Vale, so please consider this when applying for the role that you will be required to be in the office full time.

The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment was formed in 2022. Its schools bring together interdisciplinary research, improving the scope of the student experience and encouraging partnerships between academia and commerce.

Through a collaborative approach, the faculty offers greater access to resources, knowledge and information and a broader perspective on its subjects, with teaching and research staff working more closely with their colleagues in other disciplines.

The faculty spans a wide range of disciplines including construction and surveying, aerospace and mechanical engineering, geography, and the environment.

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £28,771 per annum.
