Financial Processes Officer

Location : Great Clarendon Street, Oxford with requirement for 1 day a week in the office but with flexibility to come in for meetings/workshops.

Salary : £38,674 - £46,913 per annum

Contract : Full-time, permanent contract.

The Finance Division is here to support the academic, research and administrative community at the University with sound financial advice and timely information with a range of support services including financial operations, financial reporting, financial support and professional services.

The University of Oxford is seeking a Financial Processes Officer to drive excellence in financial processes across the University.

About the Role

  • Support continuous improvement to optimise financial processes across the University
  • Develop and communicate materials to empower colleagues to uphold best practice of finance operation
  • Work closely with stakeholders to maintain and improve financial guidance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions to enhance efficiency
  • Run workshops and lead presentations to identify financial process issues and possible solutions using continuous improvement (e.g. LEAN) tools
  • About You

  • Strong understanding of financial management and controls
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in website maintenance and creating engaging financial content
  • Risk-based approach to financial process improvement
