We are seeking an energetic, organised and customer focused Food and Beverage Supervisor (locally known as concierge), to coordinate and deliver exceptional hospitality services at UQ Brisbane City (308 Queen Street), an iconic go-to destination for premium professional development, networking, and event opportunities for our global alumni and the community.
We are specifically seeking staff with experience in supervising other hospitality staff, including the concierge and Food & Beverage wait staff.
Operational/Function Responsibilities will include:
Foster a high-performance team culture focused on delivering exceptional customer service and achieving organisational goals.
Optimise operational efficiency through effective staff management, financial control, and resource allocation.
Build and maintain relationships by coordinating with stakeholders to ensure event success.
Manage resources and finances by controlling costs, optimising inventory, and ensuring financial viability.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position contracted for 3 years. At Food & Beverage Grade 4 Load Rate, the full-time equivalent base salary will be $63,008.27 plus super of up to 17%.
No split shifts or Public Holiday work required.

Salary packaging options
You'll have experience in a similar role, coupled with a current RSA and Food Safety Certificate. You'll be able to demonstrate knowledge of seamless event operations, including leading teams, problem solving, WHS, operating POS systems, and basic abilities in working with audio visual equipment. You'll be highly organised, collaborative, and committed to exemplary customer service.
Completion of a relevant degree/diploma or at least 1-2 years' subsequent relevant work experience
Current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role in a high-profile venue.
Highly developed organisational and leadership skills and ability to work under pressure.
High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer- oriented focus.
Sound understanding of workplace, health, and safety issues.
High standard of personal grooming and hygiene
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre- employment checks, including: right to work in Australia
