  • Work with the Library and others to identify and promote open research training and good practice.
  • Coordinate activities and objectives for the Open Research Advocates network including regular meetings and help to recruit new members from within your faculty.
  • Contribute to wider discussions of strategic and operational approaches to developing an open research culture across the University, working with members of the University Open Research Strategy and Operations Groups.
  • Contribute to developing communication channels for open research at York including social media.
  • Develop and maintain current awareness of open research at York and more widely with support from colleagues in the Open Research Team and through relevant training and events.
  • Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
  • Enthusiasm for raising the profile of open research across all University departments and disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of working professionally, and in collaboration, with a diverse range of people.
  • An ability to effectively prioritise and manage your time.
  • Excellent organisational skills and experience of organising events.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training sessions and/or training materials.
  • Good digital skills and a willingness to develop these further.
  • For informal enquiries: please contact [email protected] and [email protected].

The University strives to be diverse and inclusive – a place where we can ALL be ourselves.

We particularly encourage applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background, who are underrepresented at the University.

We offer family friendly, flexible working arrangements, with forums and inclusive facilities to support our staff. #EqualityatYork
