The goal of this Graduate Assistantship is to prepare the certified athletic trainer for a head athletic trainer position and to assist them in understanding how to run their own facility. GA's will gain experience in all aspects of administration, from drug testing, athletic insurance, inventory and bidding out supplies to working directly with coachesand referring physicians. Having 8 full time faculty athletic trainers on staff provides the GA excellent resourcesto learn. GA's will become a preceptor and gain experience in the CAATE accredited program which will prepare the professional to work in any AT program academic setting.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The GA Position will assist the CAATE Accredited ATP faculty athletic trainers in providing athletic training services to the 18 Div. I intercollegiate athletic programs. Specific GA assignment may be in any of the following sports: men/women soccer, track/field, baseball/softball and football. The athletic program is in the NCAA- Div. I ASUN Conference. $10,000.00 stipend and full Tuition paid for both in and out of state applicants. Additional money and experienceavailable for summer camps.

Required Education and/or Experience
