UCC are looking for a strategic and innovative leader for the position of Head of Digital Systems as a member of our leadership team. This senior management role will lead a team of library and technical professionals in developing UCC library's digital library infrastructure and digital asset management capacity. As a member of UCC Library's leadership team you will provide strategic vision for leveraging and implementing innovative systems, disruptive technologies, and physical infrastructure that enhance the design and delivery of leading- edge library services. This role provides an exciting opportunity for the right person to lead the work developing a new technology roadmap, driving forward our digital transformation and advancing services for digital and open scholarship.

• Have experience of financial management including contract and vendor management.

• An ability to solve problems and juggle competing demands with a track record of meeting your strategic targets and KPIs in previous roles.

The University's Library is at the heart of the University and plays a pivotal role in supporting the learning and research activities of University College Cork community. UCC Library comprises a distinct unit that resides under the Vice-President for Teaching & Learning. Library staff work in partnership with the University community to provide access to high quality information resources, tailored programs of student and researcher support, and a first- class learning environment.

The Library has entered an exciting period of transformation with the development of a new library vision and plan that will support the UCC Strategic Plan 2023-2028 ‘Securing our Future' and the broader University aspirations.

Appointment may be made on the Admin I (Grade 7) Salary Scale: €81,947 - €107,950 (Scale B) / €79,128 - €102,551 (Scale A).

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy .
