  • Have qualifications and/or equivalent experience (or a combination of both) health and safety management and project management (desirable).
  • Have strong critical thinking skills to assess complex activities and implement effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with laboratory and fieldwork safety protocols, and/or previous experience in a tertiary environment is a plus.
  • Key responsibilities of the role include (but won't be limited to):

  • Evaluating and assessing work activities, including laboratory and fieldwork.
  • Preparing essential health and safety documentation tailored to specific teaching and research activities.
  • Lead health and safety training sessions for staff and students and refresh existing processes to enhance faculty safety practices.
  • Actively visit and collaborate with various teams, facilities and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with health and safety obligations, best practices and relevant legislation.
  • Please note you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role to be considered. About us By joining us, you will become a valued member of a passionate, knowledgeable, and multi-disciplinary team committed to health and safety excellence.
