We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organised person for a newly created role to act jointly as an administrator for an innovation centre and a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Administrator. For the Innovation Centre in Digital Molecular Technologies (iDMT), the role holder will work within a small team overseeing the operations of the iDMT. The iDMT is a fixed-term project co-funded by the University of Cambridge, two large pharmaceutical companies, and ERDF.
As a KTP Administrator for an Innovate UK grant, the role holder will undertake duties such as organise meetings, prepare agenda, write minutes, assist with the drafting of documents such as reports and papers regarding the KTP grant. Both elements of the role will require the role holder to liaise with other staff in within the department and university, communicate and receive information to ensure co-ordination of effort, act as main departmental administrative point of contact for queries/enquiries.
The successful candidate will be educated to HND/HNC level 4/5 vocational qualification or an equivalent level of practical experience. With proven experience in administration, the successful candidate will be experienced in setting up an office and creating administrative processes from scratch. They will also have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, have attention to detail, good problem-solving skills plus the ability to prioritise own workload and work both independently and as part of a team.
