(Level B) $111,031 to $131,335 or (Level C) $135,388 to $155,696 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Part-Time fixed term contract available at 0.2FTE until the 31st December 2025 with the potential for possible extension, in line with a Commonwealth RHMT Grant.

This position will be based in rural South Australia and the role will involve:

  • Coordinate the Year 5 Human Reproductive Health (HRH) component of the medical curriculum for rural cohort medical students
  • Contribute a high proportion of the teaching into this course through online modules, zoom tutorials, face-to-face clinical sessions in the orientation and mid-year intensive week and site-based simulation teaching.
  • Contribute to the development of learning and assessment resources to facilitate delivery of the course
  • Lead medical student assessment in the Human Reproductive Health curriculum with contribution from other members of the ARCS medical education team
  • Contribute to the broader ARCS agenda of recruiting, preparing and mentoring the next generation of rural health professionals including medical students and junior doctors based in the region.
  • To be successful at level B you will need:

  • Current medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • Experience and interest in women's health and intrapartum maternity care with obstetrics qualifications including either: RANZCOG Associate (Procedural), RANZCOG Associate (Adv Procedural) or FRANZCOG
  • Commitment to providing clinical services within rural or remote South Australia, preferably in a site where Adelaide Medical students undertake longitudinal placements https: // health.adelaide.edu.au/adelaide-rural- clinical-school/locations;
  • Demonstrated experience in medical education or equivalent experience in rural practice teaching and ability to act as a course coordinator;
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with Aboriginal staff, students and health professionals to close the gap in health and educational outcomes;
  • In addition to the above, to be successful at Level C, you will also need:

  • Demonstrated experience in topic design, coordination, and clinical assessment;
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with Aboriginal staff, students and health professionals to close the gap in health and educational outcomes;
  • High level interpersonal, communication and organisational skills including through the use of distance technology and E-learning platforms;
  • A track record of participation in research-related activities in the field of rural health and/or medical education.
