The appointee will contribute to developing content and delivery of pre- registration physiotherapy modules.
They will also help with physiotherapy practice education management and admissions. The post-holder will work collaboratively with our key healthcare trusts, support the associate Professor of Physiotherapy, and be an ambassador for the University. The post-holder will have an appropriate level of experience in healthcare delivery, relevant NHS/healthcare experience, and specialist knowledge in physiotherapy. The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer post is suitable for clinicians interested in transitioning into academia, while the Senior Lecturer role is ideal for experienced academics seeking a new challenge.

Job Purpose:
Teach and support students by adopting a learner-centred approach, delivering a first-class student experience.
Lead and undertake curriculum development, professional practice, enterprise activity, research and other forms of scholarly activity as outlined within the BNU Academic Framework
Be a team-player and contribute to the wider work of the School and wider University
Practice an inclusive approach and support building an inclusive university community where people can be themselves
To collaborate and undertake an independent suite of research, commensurate with career stage.
Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role:
Education:
Undertake research-informed teaching in the subject discipline managing all aspects of curriculum delivery and the associated student experience to the highest standards in accordance with the University's requirements and the TEF.
Undertake associated activities in connection with the courses taught including module and course leadership; curriculum development; personal tutoring student recruitment; assessment, review and evaluation.
Deliver excellent student satisfaction – demonstrating ‘customer focus' and achieving strong NSS results.
Demonstrate inclusive practice in curriculum design and delivery. Work to eliminate attainment gaps.
Contribute to Open Days, school, college and partnership links and the marketing and promotional work of the Department and School.
Support students in supervising placements, learning in practice, internships and work-related activities.
Deliver pastoral care to, and project supervision of, students.
Plan and deliver the curriculum using appropriate digital technologies, including the use of IT and multimedia.
Provide effective feedback, support and guidance to students, which promotes improvement of performance.
Evaluate the effectiveness of your practice; use data and student feedback to identify opportunities to enhance the quality of your teaching and the outcomes for learners. Proactively work with colleagues in the School and across the University to share good practice, seek opportunities to enhance practice, and thereby demonstrably enhance the student experience and outcomes
Undertake and promote cross disciplinary teaching to contribute to the success of the wider University.
Engage in professional development activities (e.g. CPD, attendance at conferences) relating to teaching, learning and assessment.
Research and Professional Practice:
Conduct research and scholarly activity of relevance to the senior lecturing role and/or area of professional practice and align own research with teaching and learning.
Contribute to the REF and KEF and to internal and external research and enterprise strategies, as applicable.
Engage with relevant business and professional networks to promote teaching and learning and research in a professional context.
Engage in professional development activities (e.g., CPD, attendance at conferences) relating to research, enterprise and/or the relevant profession.
Maintain an external profile within own academic subject area at a level appropriate to the discipline.
Maintain and foster the high reputation of the University in practice partner settings.
Leadership and Management:
Manage and lead on initiatives/areas of work which facilitate School and/or University performance.
Demonstrate involvement in the support and development of Lecturers and Graduate Teaching Associates, contributing to the recruitment and mentoring of new colleagues, as appropriate.
