Job description
Faculty of Health and Life Sciences
This new part-time (0.2 FTE) post is immediately available until 31/12/2025 on a fixed term basis.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
The role
The Faculty wishes to recruit a part-time Clinical Supervisor / Tutor with expertise and knowledge in working with autistic children and young people and young people with a learning disability to support the delivery of the NHS England commissioned Children and Young Peoples' (CYP) Psychological Therapies training for Children and Young People with Autism and/or Learning Disability training programme within the Clinical Education Development and Research (CEDAR) department.
The successful applicants will have experience and knowledge in working therapeutically with autistic young people, young people with a learning disability and with their families. . They will have knowledge and experience of adapting cognitive behavioural therapy and parenting interventions with this client group. However, applicants are not required to have the same level of experience in all areas The role will involve supporting trainees by delivery of supervision, knowledge and clinical skills tutorials mainly online. The course currently takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays, the successful candidates will need to be available on Thursday's during term time.
