  • About You You are a strategic leader passionate about driving gender equity, diversity, and inclusion. With expertise in managing intersectional gender equality initiatives, you excel at building strong partnerships, fostering inclusion, and driving measurable outcomes through SMART frameworks.

    You bring experience in policy development, risk management, and leveraging demographic data to inform decisions and evaluate success. Your understanding of compliance requirements, including SAGE Athena Swan guidelines and related legislation, ensures alignment with best practices and external benchmarks.

    Skilled in managing complex projects and collaborating with stakeholders, you thrive in fostering meaningful change and creating a culture of inclusion that supports underrepresented groups.

    To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Proven ability to provide clear direction, effective leadership, and ongoing coaching to team members and key stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Strong experience and demonstrated achievement in the design, delivery and evaluation of gender, equity, diversity and inclusion strategies and frameworks with an intersectional focus within a complex environment.
  • Ability to lead change and develop sustainable solutions that ensure an improved lived-experience and opportunity for the University's workforce, and that enhance the external standing of the University.
  • Strong experience in partnering with internal stakeholders, across the sector, and with government agencies, professional and peak bodies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and undertake quantitative and qualitative research, consultation, and engagement to conceptualise, design and implement impactful initiatives at a system, leadership, team and/or individual level.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience in consultation, coaching, group facilitation and presenting to leadership groups with a proven ability to influence, establish credibility and appropriately challenge across all leadership levels.
  • Exceptional project management, research, data handling, and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes on time, to agreed quality.
  • Proven ability to be agile, customer focused and build collaborative partnerships across diverse groups with all levels of leadership and stakeholders.
  • Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
