Curtin University is seeking an experienced and highly qualified leader for
our Business Continuity & Resilience function within the Risk, Compliance, and
Audit team. This critical role is ideal for a senior professional with
extensive experience in crisis management and business continuity, ready to
make a substantial impact on our institutional capability.
As the Manager, Business Continuity & Resilience, you will develop and
oversee sophisticated business continuity requirements, setting industry
standards and driving strategic innovation. Your role will involve creating
strategies and managing critical relationships with internal stakeholders and
external service providers to embed rigor and a mature focus on continuity and
resilience for Curtin University.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Advisory: Provide expert consultancy to senior leaders and
colleagues on high-level risk management and continuity strategies.
Framework Development: Lead the creation and execution of advanced
business continuity and crisis management plans, integrating best
practices and driving continuous improvement.
Risk Analysis: Monitor and adapt to emerging risks, ensuring the
success of our operational effectiveness strategies.
Provider Management: Oversee service providers, ensuring high-quality
service delivery to meet Curtin's broad organisational needs.
Who we're looking for:
Qualifications and Experience: Possess relevant qualifications with
extensive senior-level experience in business continuity, crisis
management, or a closely related field. Proven success in leading and
implementing resilience frameworks for a large and complex organisation.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated
ability to guide teams and manage complex incidents, ensuring operational
continuity and swift recovery.
Advanced Communication : Demonstrated effective communication in
command-and-control crisis management, delegation, stakeholder engagement
in pressure situations and report writing.
Proven Adaptability: Highly adaptable with a proven ability to excel
in dynamic environments, responding to evolving challenges with strategic
acumen.
Work Requirements:
Must have current work rights in Australia matching the tenure of the
role.
