About the Role The Sustainable Healthcare Manager at the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) will lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives, focusing on healthcare's impact on climate change and environmental sustainability. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Healthcare Sustainability, the SH Manager will drive the development of an MDHS Sustainability Plan, assess current teaching and research in sustainable healthcare, and collaborate with staff across the University and affiliated institutions to advance sustainability efforts.

Who We Are Looking For The successful candidate will excel in managing complex projects, making informed decisions, and building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. They will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to engage with academic and non- academic staff. The successful applicant will be able to act relatively independently to drive sustainability changes within MDHS, including the teaching of healthcare sustainability within MDHS, and develop an overarching MDHS Sustainability Strategy. Additionally, they will have a passion for research and policy development, particularly in healthcare sustainability and climate change.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
