About the role
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Operations Assistant for an exciting new role at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, supporting the team that manages the day-to-day functioning of our busy heritage site.
This is a hands-on role encompassing everything from arranging meetings and minute-taking, HR admin, timesheets and other payroll-related tasks, to jumping in to support the Visitor Services and Events Teams on busy days, managing the Museum Lodge (a small residential property for use by Museum researchers and bursary students), working with the Head of Operations on commercial ventures, and occasionally moving dinosaurs.
Managed by the Head of Operations and with a reporting line to the Museum Executive Assistant, the Operations Assistant will give administrative support to all areas of the work of the Museum's operations team.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 36.5 hours per week. Part-time work up to 80% of the full-time hours could be considered.
About You
You will have excellent administrative and communication skills. You will also have a demonstrable passion for Museums, a can-do attitude and be a collaborative and enthusiastic colleague.
Experience of basic design work including using Adobe InDesign and experience of managing at events would be ideal.
