    People Services and Projects Lead

We are recruiting for a new role, responsible for delivery of customer-focused people services, and delivery of pan university projects. We welcome applications from experienced line managers who have extensive knowledge of HR systems and services, and who are as committed to customer experience as we are.

    About the opportunity

You will join a supportive team environment in an inclusive organisation with attractive benefits. Reporting to the Head of People Operations and Inclusion, you will be responsible for delivery of customer-focused people services across centralised recruitment and administration transactions, as well as for delivery of university projects. This is a hands-on role and you will take responsibility for delivery of key annual processes such as annual review and cost of living awards. You will manage three direct reports with responsibility for a wider team of five administrators and coordinators. In this role you will provide leadership and develop the people services teams and ensure ways of working are in place to provide a seamless and customer focused service to internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborating and connecting are integral to so much of what we do. Cranfield's Working Arrangements Framework provides many staff with the opportunity to flexibly combine on-site and remote working, balancing the needs of our community of staff, students, clients and partners.

    About You

This opportunity will suit an experienced, collaborative line manager with strong interpersonal and influencing skills. You will be an experienced HR leader with specialist knowledge of GDPR, FOI, and employment law as well as the employee life cycle. Previous experience of working in the Higher Education sector is not required, but to be successful in this role you will have significant knowledge and experience of HR systems and processes. You will be an innovative, strategic thinker and pro-active problem solver with experience of leading projects.
